Digital Picture Frames are exciting new devices. The ability to show multiple digital photos in a slideshow through a nicely designed frame that fits your dcor is a new and innovative idea. Today, I am going to show you two unique ways to use your frame that you may not have thought about but is worth taking a serious look.
The first use is to put a photo calendar in the place of the picture slideshow. The idea is to create a calendar that looks like a wall calendar (not the dinky calendar that comes with some frames). The top portion of your calendar will display stock or personal photos in a slideshow for each month of the year. When it is time to show the next month, just load the next month and continue the slideshow on that month.
The second use involves creating a slideshow with a 24 hour interval. For each 24 hour interval, the digital frame changes the image so that a new day of the month is highlighted. The really cool part of this calendar implementation is the "set it and forget it" design. Because the slideshow changes on a daily basis, you could set the image for the current day and it would automatically change the image and highlight the correct day of the month for a complete month without any intervention on your part.
Imagine having a calendar that actually looks like a wall calendar in your digital frame with the ability to perform slide shows of your pictures with a larger and more pronounced size. Also imagine your frame having a highlighting feature that keeps tabs on the day of the month with a large easy to view calendar image. Imagine having a calendar that is not confined to that "blue screen of death" color that is prevalent with built-in calendars of the digital picture frames on the market now.
