Desktop Calendars - How to Make Everyone (Even Strangers) Love You

In this world, you're one-of-a-kind. Take a good look around... there's no one else quite like you, is there? So who better then to grace the cover of your own desktop calendar, than you? Agreed? Great! Now let's learn how to do this...

But before we do, if you can't bear the thought of having yourself displayed for all to see, then you can also just as easily use a friend, acquaintance, or even your most treasured pet. Open your mind to possibility here...

If you are going to use someone else's picture on a wall or desktop calendar, you'll find that it makes for an exceptionally powerful gift. Just think about it... they carefully unwrap their gift and out comes a calendar - with their OWN picture on it. Or, make it even more special, and put your own picture in there!

Of course, this method works most effectively if you use a really GREAT photograph of them! (Or yourself!) Do this and watch as it melts their heart. People love this sort of gift because it's incredibly thoughtful. And rarely done on a calendar... which makes it all the more precious.

In fact, done right, it's something that people never forget in a lifetime.

Nowadays you can create a custom photo calendar for relatively low cost, and the whole process is rather easy too. Actually the challenging part is really in choosing the right photo/s for the calendar!

Firstly, of course, you'll need the photo of either yourself, your friend, or favorite pet, or whoever you want on the calendar. Try to use a high resolution photograph if possible, as it really adds to the overall quality.

Next step you'll need to search the Internet for some websites that'll print your calendar for you. A good one that I've used is CafePress.com or you can try PhotoBox.com too. You'll need to log in and upload your photo/s and select what sort of calendar style you want. Here's where you get a load of choices.

You can do a simple wall calendar, over-sized wall calendars, or 12 page (full year) desktop calendars. A simple 12 months to a page calendar might work well too. It's easier to create the one page calendar style if you don't have 12 photos of yourself or your friend! (You can also take this idea further with an elegantly presented photo book full of your favorite photography, but that's a whole new article).

The next step is to position your photo into the desktop calendar (or photo calendar of your choice). Be careful to get this part right, as the calendar will need to be cropped before it's sent to you. Then you'll basically go through the payment process and order your own calendar.

The websites I mentioned allow you to send the calendar to yourself - or you can just sent it directly to a friend or acquaintance. If you do this, be prepared. This particular one-of-a-kind style of desktop calendar makes for an unforgettable gift! They'll LOVE you for it. :)
