Also, the Wii's motion sensitive controllers contain all kinds of technology that saps the life out of your batteries in no time at all. For this reason, you should have a battery charger with plenty of rechargeable batteries to hand, or buy a Wii Charge Station.

Finally, while you can have loads of fun with the standard Wii controller, you may also want to buy a couple of Nunchuk controllers. These plug into the standard controllers and provide the controls needed for certain games. So, you should know before you buy a Wii that you can expect to spend another $100 on accessories to really get the most from it. However, even with this it is still great value for money.
