How to Use Web 2.0 Platforms to Build Massive Traffic!

Some internet marketers get the majority of their traffic through pay per click. I don't. I tried that when I started out, but once I learned about creating traffic through search engine optimization (SEO), I quit giving Google nearly so much money! Now I do something totally different! I get traffic through free Web 2.0 sites.

Web 2.0 platforms like Squidoo and Hubpages can be used to funnel tons of traffic to your site. You do this by getting a network of these web 2.0 sites linked to your own site. Most web 2.0 sites rank very well in Google, which gets you a ton of traffic. Let's talk more about this.

You need to divide the pages of your site into three tiers, Tier 1 being the main page, Tier 2 being your navigation type pages, and Tier 3 being your most narrowly focused pages. Now, the best way (scratch that-the only real way) to do that is to group your keyword phrases into these tiers. Then build your pages to match their keyword phrase.

Since your tier 3 pages are more narrowly focused, it's going to be easier for them to rank well in the searches, especially at first. To get my tier 3 pages to rank well, I'll create a Squidoo lens or a Hubpage optimized for the same keyword phrase as the page I'm linking it to. The Squidoo or Hubpage has a much better chance of ranking higher in the search results than my new page. So when someone searches on my keyword phrase, they might not see my site, but they will see the Squidoo lens or Hubpage and get funneled to my site.

I do this for all my tier 3 pages. Ideally, you should have one or two of these links coming in to each tier 3 page.

If you're using a WordPress blog platform as a website, then your posts will be your tier 3 pages. (Your tier 2 pages would be pages in the horizontal navigation bar across the top of most WordPress themes.)

Let me give you an example of this.

If your keyword phrase is "housebreaking Yorkies", you want the title for your Squidoo lens to be "Housebreaking Yorkies". Same rules apply as when you actually write your pages for your site. The keyword phrase needs to be exactly stated in the first 90 characters of your copy. It needs to be restated every four paragraphs or so. And! It needs to be used in the link that takes you from the lens or Hubpage to your tier 3 page.

You would write something like:

"Click here to learn more about housebreaking Yorkies."

Creating a money making website like this is a ton of work, but once you're done, you just sit back and watch the money roll in. The great thing about internet marketing is you're creating assets that are going to make you money month after month after month. So, don't think about this like doing a lot of work and making a few hundred or a few thousand dollars out of it, and then it's over with. Think about this like creating a money machine that's going to pay you thousands over the course of the next few years!
